Matthias Spielkamp, 35, writes as a freelance journalist for national newspapers, weeklies, print and online magazines (Die Zeit, Spiegel Online etc.). He was a reporter for Spiegel TV magazine, the TV subsidiary of Der Spiegel, and holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In his reporting, Matthias focuses on the laws and technology of Internet regulation and intellectual property. For six years he’s been teaching online journalism, among others to journalists of German public broadcasters, ARD and ZDF.
